2mm gold flat sequin.
Made in the USA circa 1980's.
1000 pieces per package.
I've used these on a couple of projects, in combo with stitching styles from the early to mid 1500s. They are a perfect size to accompany countwork pieces stitched on 40 to 72 count linen.
Lovely accent bits for a piece of counted blackwork embroidery. They were perfectly sized to be roughly a 1 stitch equivalent on 50 count linen, so each pailette covered the roughly same area as one cross stitch taken over 2x2 threads. Holes and edges were smooth and did not snag on the silk used to for stitching down.
